Expedition Idaho 2003, was a 1,870 mile shake down cruise for the 1964 Land Rover Walter Martin Dormobile.  Fresh from suspension & electrical refit, and outfitted with tools and spares, every bit of which eventually became invaluable, we set out from San Diego, California to Central Idaho.  The route passed through Las Vegas, Nevada, along the Great Basin Highway through Ely & Jack Pot, Nevada, then through Meteor, Hollister and Twin Falls, Idaho, before arriving in Shoshone, Idaho.

Carlee explores one of the Lava Domes found near the Magic Reservoir area of Central Idaho.

Central Idaho's Magic Reservoir area is known for its fine mule deer buck hunting.

We were the guests of Fred & Nita Trenkle of Shoshone, Idaho.  No one knows Idaho deer hunting better than Fred.

Bridge crossing the Snake River outside Twin Falls, Idaho.

The Snake River, site of the infamous 1974 Sky Cycle "Rocket" jump of Evil Knievel.

A trip to Twin Falls, Idaho is just not complete without a lunch stop at the Artic Circle and a chat with Eddy Howa.

As the Idaho sun set upon Shoshone, so did it set on our visit to Central Idaho.

After a brief holiday of mule deer hunting, site seeing and visiting, we returned to California along the same route.
